One of the new features of the eighth edition of the D’A Film Festival Barcelona is the collaboration with Dones Visuals (Visual Women) and its Acció Viver (Incubator Action) initiative. This programme for guiding and advising audiovisual projects run by women seeks to boost the careers of new female professionals and consolidate the progress made by other women that have already premiered up to two feature films. D’A 2018 will include the second phase of the Acció Viver scheme, consisting of meetings with the industry to seek synergies and funding for selected projects.
43 projects applied for the Acció Viver programme and six of those were chosen to receive guidance and mentoring from such professionals as screenwriter Isa Campo, director Roser Aguilar and producer Valérie Delpierre.
These are the selected filmmakers:
- Reencuentros, by Isabel Gardela
- Adiós a la ciudad, by Mireia Llinàs
- Las niñas, by Pilar Palomero
- Puerto deseado, by Diana Toucedo
- Aún no, by Nuria Polo
- Alma, by Elisabet Prandi
