Since the first edition in 2011, D’A’s programming has favored films screened in other cities and territories. D’A 2016 widens its scope beyond the city of Barcelona to integrate seven venues in different Catalan towns: Terrassa, Villafranca, Vic, Girona, El Prat de Llobregat, Santa Margarida de Montbui and Berga. In this sixth edition of the festival and with the collaboration of the Diputació de Barcelona, the venues of D’A 2016 will simultaneously screen a selection of some of the best films.

Among them is D’A People’s Choice Award winner, Les amigues de l’Agata achieved by four young female directors: Laia Alabart, Alba Cros, Laura Rius and Marta Verheyen. The film transcended its beginnings as a final project for the visual Communication degree at Pompeu Fabra University and will be commercially released in late spring.
