The D’A – Barcelona Film Festival will close its 15th edition with the Catalan premiere of Molt lluny (Muy lejos), the directorial debut of Gerard Oms. With Mario Casas and David Verdaguer leading in a film that will have its Spanish premiere in the Official Section of the Málaga Festival and the Catalan premiere in D’A 2025. The film features editing by Neus Ballús.

Regular collaborator as an actor and mentor to actors in films such as La mitad de Ana, Upon Entry or No matarás, Gerard Oms makes his directorial debut with a feature film that raises issues such as immigration, racism, unassumed sexuality or the effects of the crisis of the 2000s, through the story of a young man who, after a crisis on a trip to Holland, decides to stay in the country and cut ties with his past. There you will have to survive without money, without a house and without speaking the language, until you make peace with yourself.

Produced by Zabriskie Films, co-produced by Revolver Amsterdam, with the participation of ICAA, NL Film, TV3, RTVE and distributed by BTeam.
