THE D’A FILM FESTIVAL STAYS AT HOME!

THE D’A FILM FESTIVAL STAYS AT HOME!

In the light of the global crisis related to Covid-19, and given the uncertainty of its evolution, the D’A Film Festival Barcelona, initially planned between April 30 and May 10, has decided to move part of its 2020 programme online. The online festival will take place during the same dates.

To that end, we have partnered with the Spanish streaming platform Filmin to make an online programme available for a local audience, highlighting a selection of previously confirmed films for this edition.

After a deep thought and given the impossibility of making the festival in optimal conditions, both in terms of programming and the directors who had to visit the festival, the D’A Film Festival Barcelona was neither canceled nor postponed. That is why we are working to create a program that faithfully represents the spirit of the festival, to bring to everyone’s homes the best international independent cinema, the winning films at festivals around the world and the most emerging Spanish cinema.

The online D’A Film Festival Barcelona will present a selection of around 35 films, keeping the Talents Award endowed with 10,000 euros for the best film by a director with less than three films in his/her filmography. The Critics Award and the Audience Award are also maintained, as well as the composition of the juries.
