Argentine director Matías Piñeiro presented his latest film at the D’A Film Festival, Isabella (awarded at the Berlinale 2020), a new exploration in his cinema with women starring in plots with characters that seem to have escaped from a Shakespeare play and where it becomes difficult to separate what is theatrical and what is authentic in human relationships. A very appreciated director at the D’A Film Festival Barcelona, where he was a jury in a past edition, commenting on his work with Violeta Kovacsics, one of the first film critic that awoke our interest on Piñeiro’s work.
