She grew up in Switzerland, where her family was in exile, and studied at the University of Cinema in Buenos Aires. After a distinguished career in short films, she was selected by the Cannes Cinéfondation. With her debut feature she won the main award at the Locarno and Mar del Plata film festivals, and with her third feature she was part of the Toronto, New York, and San Sebastián film festivals’ official selections.
