She is one of the most renowned Swiss filmmakers today. She studies Film in Belgium, and after directing shorts and documentaries she premieres Home, presented with great success at the Critics’ Week in Cannes and nominated for three César Awards. Her second feature, Sister, wins a Special Silver Bear in Berlin, and since then she has directed several films for film and television. La ligne, her last film, was presented in the Official Selection of the Berlinale.
