In his 27-year career as a composer, the Swiss composer Alfons Karl Zwicker main interest has been translating into sounds the hardships, the pain, the suffering, and the fear of those repressed by Latin American dictatorships. And for this, music happens to be a particularly suitable means: it is the most appropriate form of art to penetrate the realm of the soul.

Born deaf, Antonia Singla could not hear the music, and developed the talent of dancing following the sounds and rhythms that she kept in her memory. At the age of 17, she was already considered one of the best flamenco dancers in the world. However, while some of her colleagues became icons of flamenco, La Singla disappeared from the stage before she turned 30. Now time has come to reclaim her story.
