Valerie Delpierre created Inicia Films in 2006 with the aim of developing projects for new talents and paying special attention to international projection. Since then, he has produced numerous fiction feature films, documentaries and short films. His projects include B, de Bárcenas, David Ilundain’s debut feature; Carla Simón’s debut feature, Estiu 1993, the short film Los desheredados, by Laura Ferrés, 20.000 especies de abejas, by Estibaliz Urresola, and Unicorns, by Àlex Lora.

Gaia Furrer
Gaia Furrer

She graduated in Cinema History at the University La Sapienza in Rome. She collaborated with Film Italia, the public agency in charge of promoting Italian cinema abroad, curating national and international projects. Furrer has also programmed and consulted on a few film festivals. Since 2004, she has worked as Head of Programming at the Noir in Festival, one of the most important European festivals focused on the film noir genre. After working as a programmer and as Head of Programming since the very first edition at Giornate degli Autori, the independent sidebar of the Venice Film Festival, she was appointed as its new Artistic Director in 2020.

Chiara Marañón
Chiara Marañón

Director of Programming at MUBI, in charge of acquisitions and curation for the platform, as well as UK theatrical distribution. He studied at the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona and at the San Antonio de los Baños International Film and Television School (Cuba), where he graduated with a specialty in scriptwriting. Subsequently, he completed a Master’s degree in film directing at the University of Westminster in London. She has made and produced several short films and worked with Abbas Kiarostami on the piece The Girl and the Lemon Factory. Among his mentors are Lucrecia Martel, Carlos Reygadas, Pedro Costa and Jaime Rosales.
