Pablo García Canga is one of the Festival’s other beloved regulars. He is a master of the short film format (he is also premiering Por la pista vacía at the D’A) and an enthusiast of the spoken word in film. Las tierras del cielo, his first feature film, is no exception. It premieres at Uno Impulso Colectivo and is a film that meditates on the fragmented collectivity and the power of films as a union between people and as imagination triggers. García Canga, who is also the screenwriter of two other short films in this edition (Din que non falan and Alicia fai cousas) talks about what the film was meant to be and what it has ended up being, about appropriating the means of production and about future projects.
