Synopsis
Memory is one of the cornerstones of our identity: there is no present without a past, we cannot move forward without looking back. This selection explores different ways of relating to memory and reconstructing the past through tangible, digital, or fantastical imagery. The three short films speak to how the past can call to us, and how our memory, both individual and collective, forms a giant puzzle that always accompanies us. The chosen films acknowledge the need to examine ourselves from increasingly diverse perspectives, to be able to heal past wounds, but also to preserve the events that shape our culture.
