Synopsis

Old images of the future, new images of the past

The future and the past as uninhabitable spaces, images as a driving force of change and the personal voice as a collective tool capable of challenging the hegemonic narratives of history. Three short films that analyze and reinvent time through archival material. After the screening, we will enjoy a discussion with the authors of Els buits and Postal (O, desde la distancia eres un espejismo).

Presentation and Q&A with Carolina Astudillo, Marina Freixa, Sofia Esteve and Isa Luengo.

Young Programmers

For several editions, Moving Cinema and the D’A – Barcelona Film Festival have been collaborating by proposing groups of Young Programmers to curate, accompany and present two sessions of the Festival linked to the section ‘Un Impulso Colectivo – Shorts’. This year the group is made up of thirteen young people between 17 and 23 years old who want to “provide a heterogeneous and intergenerational point of view on cinema” and who have designed the sessions to provide space for conversation with the filmmakers.

The Young Programmers 2024 are: Eva Chun Carbonell Martín, Azzurra Carillo, Ainara Gómez Rodríguez, Clàudia Jansana-Rodon, Lúa Minghan, Marina Miyar, Abril Moreno Rodriguez, Ainhoa Oliveira, Cristian Santos, Alejandro Silvera, Oscar Valencia Graul, Marta Vergés Aguila and Mateo Villalustre.

The proposal is developed within the framework of Moving Cinema, a European project led by A Bao A Qu.
