Synopsis
Joanna Hogg, to whom the D’A dedicated its retrospective in the 2023 edition, makes up for her absence on that occasion and rewards us with her visit to present one of her latest works, the short film Présages, and offer a talk about her work. The English director is one of the most stimulating figures on the contemporary scene, and since her debut, she has captured the female experience as a feeling of dislocation that also has to do with her place in cinema. The Souvenir I and II establish her as a reference figure and, as her career progresses, she shows that we are faced with an increasingly bold filmmaker.
The dialogue with the director will be preceded by the screening of the short film Présages.
