Synopsis
The journey of a packet of seeds that starts in the archives of the Botanical Garden of Madrid and ends in an Afro-Peruvian village on the southern coast of Peru, where the seeds were collected on a colonial expedition around the year 1800. Like a flare in the darkness, the seeds will illuminate different worlds and realities that hide in the shadows.

Mauricio Freyre
He is a researcher, audiovisual artist, and filmmaker with a background in architecture. His projects merge his interests in architecture and film. He earned the National Experimental Film Award in Peru and received the Matadero Production Grant in Madrid. His works have been part of programs and exhibitions at centers and festivals such as Valdivia, Rencontres Paris/Berlin, L’Alternativa, TENT Rotterdam, and Fundación Telefónica Lima.
