Synopsis
Jojo, a lively 10-year-old with a difficult home life marked by a volatile father and an absent mother, finds solace in an unexpected friendship with an abandoned baby jackdaw. When he brings the bird home, he has to keep it hidden from his father. Through his special friendship with the bird and the adaptability that only children possess, Jojo finds a way to break down the wall surrounding his father’s heart. This poignant, emotionally astute coming of age drama will remind older film fans of Ken Loach’s classic Kes.
