Synopsis
Due to the unstable political situation, Dawid loses his job without a warning. As his family prepares to flee the country, Dawid’s younger brother becomes involved with the only organization willing to stand against the encroaching enemy. Led by a charismatic figure, Black Spider is an ambitious militia and the sole opposition to the imminent changes. An unfortunate accident results in the death of one of the brothers, and the family holds Dawid responsible. Due to a shortage of men and the an-eye-for-an-eye rule, Dawid has to take his brother’s place in the Black Spider.

Michał Ciechomski
He is a graduate of Directing at the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School and Aerospace Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology. His short films were screened and awarded at several film festivals, including the Warsaw Film Festival. His work Submission received the Jan Machulski Award for the Best Short Film of 2021. His main cinematic interests revolve around capturing the zeitgeist and envisioning the near future.
