Synopsis

Agatha has just started studying at University, but she’s still regularly seeing her school friends, with whom she has shared all her parties, intimacy moments, trips, jokes and common conversations. A private space full of memories, that now confronts with the new college’s friends and with her own changes that she’s starting to discover.
The film Agatha’s Friends is a portrait of a group of 20 year old girls made trough Agatha’s eyes during their first year at university. From theirs Barcelona life to a trip to the Costa Brava, where she’ll feel the transformation of the world that they had built with her childhood friends Carla, Ari and Mar.

Alba Cros

In 2015 she co-directed Les amigues de l’Àgata (D’A 2015), a film that was acclaimed by the critics and was nominated for the Gaudí Awards. Later she filmed the television documentary Resiliència, about the 2020 National Culture Awards. She has also worked as a cinematographer for films such as Demà ho deixem, by David Moragas, or La amiga de mi amiga, by Zaida Carmona.

Alba Cros

Laura Rius Aran

She graduated from Pompeu Fabra University after codirecting the feature film Les amigues de l’Àgata, released in Spanish theaters in 2016. She completed her studies in the Editing department of La Fémis in 2018, where she directed the documentary Millions (and Millions) of Memories.

Laura Rius Aran

Laia Alabart, Alba Cros, Laura Rius and Marta Verheyen are graduated in Audiovisual Communication in the University of Pompeu Fabra, promotion of 2014. To make this project they have shared all the different stages and creative tasks, from the script, through the direction of the actresses and cameras to the editing. Les Amigues de l’Àgata is set as a final university project and it’s their debut in film.

This film has been made as part of the degree of Audiovisual Communication at the University Pompeu Fabra (UPF) under the tutorials and assistance of Elías León Siminiani, Gonzalo de Lucas and Isaki Lacuesta. This is the second feature fruit of these studies, after Sobre la Marxa by Jordi Morató.
