Synopsis

Paul Hanganu married Adriana ten years ago. They have an eight year old daughter, Mara. For the past six months he has been involved in an extra-marital affair with Raluca, a twentyseven-year-old dentist. Paul, who is struggling to find time for Raluca, for gift shopping and for his family, decides to take his daughter to the dentist one last time before Christmas. An unexpected change in Adriana’s schedule brings the two women in the same room for the first time. The meeting forces Paul to face a difficult decision.

(Bucharest, 1971) He graduated at the Romanian Theatre and Film Academy – the Film Directing section in 1994, and started teaching there five years later. In 2008 Radu Completed his third film, Boogie, which was selected at Cannes’ Directors’ Fortnight and at about 20 other film festivals, such as Karlovy Vary and Rotterdam. In 2010 Radu returned to Cannes with Tuesday, after Christmas, his fourth Feature film, that had it’s premiere in the Un Certain Regard section, where the director returned five years later with his latest feature film, One floor below.
