Synopsis

A lonely dreamer walks through the heart of the night, photographing statues that inspire him, pursuing an ideal of happiness. His imagination transports him into a fantasy world where inanimate figures come to life. The theater of this narrative is the city. It is also a silent and majestic protagonist who accompanies the lovers’ dreams. A loose adaptation of Fyodor Dostoevsky’s White Nights.

Carles Borres

He studied Audiovisual Communication at Pompeu Fabra University, where he co-directed the short film Cendres (2017) and co-organized the Aidez cineclub. He did an Erasmus at the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle, in Paris, where he made several short documentaries. He worked on the retrospectives of the work of Isaki Lacuesta and Naomi Kawase in the Department of Cinema of the Center Pompidou, where he currently works. He has collaborated with Amat Vallmajor in the script and editing of Misión a Marte (D’A 2023).
