Synopsis
With the excuse of looking back at his more than 40-year career, the director of The Night Is Young and Holy Motors proposes a fascinating collage in the style of Godard’s Histoire(s) du cinéma in which he confronts the films he has made, those he has not made, those he has seen, his fatherhood and his personal history. A visual feast with a bomb climax in which he recovers key characters from his films such as Monsieur Merde or Baby Annette.

Leos Carax
He is one of the greatest exponents of French auteur cinema. His films draw on the great references of the Nouvelle Vague, but he transports the language to new dimensions, always alongside iconic figures such as Juliette Binoche, Catherine Deneuve or Denis Lavant, with whom he works on most of them. Among his filmography are The Night Is Young, awarded in Berlin; Holy Motors, winner of the Golden Hugo in Chicago, or Annette, award for Best Director in Cannes and at the Césars. Among other honorary recognitions, in 2012 he received the Leopard of Honor in Locarno.
