Synopsis
To be or not to be a mother, that is the question. Milagros (37) stretches out a carefree youth in her last years of fertility while Jonathan (24) seeks solace in Grindr to overcome abandonment issues. Milagros is looking for sperm. Jonathan needs to escape. A delirious road movie, entirely shot in 16 mm, full of music, where a mysterious mermaid with a magic crown will set the course of the journey.

Julia de Castro
Multidisciplinary artist. As a musician, she has released two albums, with her project De la Purísima and a solo album, “La Historiadora.” Co-director, co-writer and co-producer of On the Go, she received the Special Mention in Cineasti del Presente at the Locarno Festival in 2023. As an actress, she has been nominated for best supporting actress at the Premios Feroz 2024 for the series Poquita Fe.

Maria Gisèle Royo
Graduated in Audiovisual Communication at the University of Seville, her documentary Rediscovering Pape (2009) won a Student Academy Award (Oscars) and a College Student Award (Emmy). Education without borders (2019), she presented at the European Parliament and at the UNHCR Global Refugee Forum. She is currently a professor of undergraduate and master’s degrees in Cinema at the Catalyst Institute for Creative Arts & Technology in Berlin. She is co-director, co-writer and co-producer of On the Go, which received the Special Mention in Cineasti del Presente at the Locarno Festival in 2023.
