Synopsis

Cecilia, survivor of the Chilean military repression, confronts inner and political struggle, geographical and family scattering from her banishment in Finland. Her granddaughter Aava is by her side, easing her mind from the burden of her past, which is recreated persistently and in fragmented forms. Based on the life of Silvia Eliana Aedo, who plays the role of Cecilia.

Andrea Zapata-Girau

Filmmaker and editor based in Galicia and Finland. She studied music at the Mayeusis Conservatory and Guildhall School, Audiovisual Communication at Pompeu Fabra University, and in 2006 she moved to Finland, where she studied a Bachelor of Culture and Arts at TAMK School of Art, Music, and Media. She has directed the music documentary Guitarra de palo and several short films programmed at festivals such as Havana Film Festival and Göteborg Film Festival.
