All that he knows is that it is his house, the place he may call home. Many people live there. Some are just passing through, staying there for just a few days. He graduated from VGIK film school in Moscow. From early on, he met a great critical success. His films such as Three Days, Corridor, Few of Us, all built an uncommonly delicate aesthetic that his eighth feature, Peace to Us in Our Dreams kept on expanding. In February 2016, the Centre Pompidou dedicated him a retrospective.
