Synopsis
As anger and resentment grow in the face of social inequalities, many citizens-led protests are being repressed with an ever-increasing violence. In Un pays qui se tient sage, David Dufresne gathers a panel of citizens to question, exchange and confront their views on the social order and the legitimacy of the use of force by the State.

David Dufresne
Is a multi award-winning documentary writer-director. Former reporter for Libération, he has also been a founding member of Mediapart, a French independent investigation media. Since 2010, he has developed several online documentary projects, at the crossroads between journalism and cinema, most notably Prison Valley and Fort McMoney, respectively shot in the US and Canada. David Dufresne also wrote highly praised novels & non-fiction books.
