The D’A – Barcelona Film Festival presents its entire program of Spanish and Catalan cinema, headed by Nina, the new work by Andrea Jaurrieta, which will close the fourteenth edition of the festival. After playing at subverting the codes of film noir with Ana de día, filmmaker Andrea Jaurrieta returns to D’A with a film that departs from classic revenge stories to weave a contemporary women’s Western. Nina stars masterfully Patricia López Arnaiz (20,000 Species of Bees) as the mysterious anti-heroine and Darío Grandinetti (Wild Tales) as the antagonist of an unorthodox thriller that adapts the play by José Ramón Fernández. The film has just been recognized at the Malaga Festival with the Silver Biznaga, Special Critics Award.
