Synopsis

Héctor (11) and Gema (6) face the day before their parents’ divorce trial, where they’ll be asked with whom they prefer to live with from now on. Both embark on a journey from the village where they live with their father to Barcelona, where the trial will be held and where their mother now lives with her new partner.

Héctor wants to continue living with Dad. But when Gema hints she doesn’t want to separate from Mum, Héctor fears he might lose his sister if they choose different homes tomorrow.

Debuted with the short film Broken Roots (2019), selected at Oberhausen, Camerimage and Jury Mention at PÖFF Shorts. With SOLO (2022) he was a Gaudí Awards nominee and a Goya Awards candidate, and competed in In The Palace Festival and Bogoshorts. He has just shot his next short film, As It Was, and is developing his debut feature, March 14th, selected at Berlinale Talents Script Station, La incubadora ECAM and Ekran+, and finalist at XIX Julio Alejandro SGAE Screenplay Award.
