Les culpables

Marta Duran Lozano

LAB Spain Documentary

Synopsis

It is 2020. The whole world is in total lockdown and Marta posts an ad on social media. She is looking for stories of women who have had abortions as teenagers. Eight years after her own abortion, now as a twenty-five year old, Marta sets out to open the wound to heal it once and for all. So she begins a creative process with three teenage girls, who read the witnesses with Marta, reflect and find parallels with their own stories. They talk about their context, their differences and how to represent them. They put them on stage and relate them to each other. Their artistic process, complex, real and mutant, puts images, voices and names to an event that is as common as it is taboo.
