Synopsis
During the summer holidays, fourteen-year-old Bárbara travels with her mother, Ana (45), to Serón for the first time, following her grandmother’s recent death. As Ana becomes entangled in a bitter inheritance dispute, they settle into a nearby campsite close to the abandoned mining settlement of Las Menas. There, Bárbara meets Antonio (80), a former miner who chose to stay when the village was deserted after the mines closed fifty years ago, becoming its sole remaining resident. The encounter with the old man compels mother and daughter to confront a secret buried for decades.
