Synopsis
After Aimar’s death, Sara, a 40-year-old woman, feels lost and alone. Her daily routine fails to fill the emptiness she feels. When a painting is stolen from the gallery where she works, a policeman takes her to a grief therapy where she meets Ainhoa, a woman full of light and life. Together they embark on a path of healing that will lead them to cross the bridge between the world of the living and the dead. This film about loss and grief is a hymn to life and the ability to reinvent oneself.
Director
Alberto Gastesi
His early interest in narration in images led him to join the “Detrás de la cámara” program in Donostia, his hometown, at the age of fifteen, where he began making Trampantojo, with which he received several awards and selections. During his youth, he also participated in Víctor Erice’s workshop in Arteleku. After La quietud en la tormenta (SSIFF, FICX, D’A), he is now shooting Singular and preparing the film that will close his “trilogy of absence”: A Reflection.
