Àlvar is a millennial from Barcelona who works as a product photographer and is fed up with it. One day he receives a call with a strange assignment that takes him out of the studio and allows him to test himself and feel useful for the first time in years. Álvar embraces this new life and cuts himself off from his old one, until he finds out that he has been unknowingly working with a criminal organization and that if he wants to quit, he will have to confront his deepest values and privileges.
Eloi Sànchez Palau
(Girona, 1991) After studying Audiovisual Communication at the Pompeu Fabra University, he works as a filmmaker and a screenwriter in short films and advertising. He combines those jobs with a career as a stage actor. He performs in theaters such as Sala Beckett and the National Theatre of Catalonia. At the same time, he founded the film education organization Nadir. His diverse training led him to embark on his first feature Útil, where he writes, acts and directs himself.
