Presented the entire program of D’A 2024! The fourteenth edition of the D’A – Barcelona Film Festival will be held from April 4 to 14, with the best of independent and auteur cinema of the year, the films awarded at major international festivals and the names of emerging filmmakers who are solid promises for the future. In addition, several parallel activities, the visit of more than 50 teams of filmmakers and the celebration of the D’A Film Lab Barcelona. A total of 131 films will be presented at D’A 2024, including feature films and short films, 111 absolute premieres in Catalonia, 28 of which are Spanish premieres, 25 world premieres, three European and one international. In addition, with 48 films directed by women, the festival continues to work to achieve parity in all its sections. D’A 2024 will distribute 36,000 euros in prizes between the Talents section (which increases its endowment to 15,000 euros), Un Impulso Colectivo (5,000 euros), Un Impulso Colectivo – Short (1,000 euros) and the prize for the best film film from D’A Film Lab Barcelona (20,000 euros).

D’A 2024 opens with one of the most anticipated films of the year: the return of Isaki Lacuesta with Segundo Premio, co-directed by Pol Rodríguez, a fictional film about the Granada band Los Planetas. The film won the Biznaga de Oro at the recent Malaga film festival, in addition to the awards for best direction and editing; and Nina, by Andrea Jaurrieta, starring Patricia López Arnaiz and Darío Grandinetti, will close D’A 2024. Among the big names of the festival, the new films of Hong Sangsoo, Tsai Ming-liang, Wang Bing, Radu Jude , Cristi Puiu, Catherine Corsini, Nuri Bilge Ceylan, Angela Schanelec or Lisandro Alonso. The festival program includes 48 films directed by women, 111 absolute premieres in Catalonia, 28 of which are Spanish premieres, 25 world premieres, three European and one international and the presence of more than 50 artistic teams that will present their films and they will talk to the public of the D’A.
