Sin abandonar una cierta tendencia al realismo social m\u00e1s crudo, <em>La regi\u00f3n salvaje<\/em> coquetea de forma fascinante e inesperada con lo fant\u00e1stico. A trav\u00e9s de un tri\u00e1ngulo amoroso, el film hace emerger el machismo y la homofobia en una comunidad marcada por la presencia secreta de un alien\u00edgena tentacular. El ser venido del espacio exterior es capaz de provocar un placer sexual tan absoluto como liberador, abriendo las puertas a esa dimensi\u00f3n abismal de nuestro ser que nos atrae tanto como nos atemoriza.
